Megan's Unconventional Path in Accounting

Explore Megan's distinctive journey in the accounting industry, marked by innovation, mentorship, and technical expertise.

Megan owns Megan D. Lewczyk, CPA LLC, a boutique consulting firm specializing in innovation, coaching, and content creation. She also serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Keystone College, teaching Intermediate Accounting II.

Before her current roles, Megan was an IT Attestation and
Risk Advisory Associate at KPMG and a Lecturer at Washington State
University. She has served as COO and Technical Writer for Yaeger CPA
Review and was a Columnist for Going Concern, contributing 85 blogs
on industry-related topics.

She was among the first 100 participants in
the prestigious LinkedIn Creator Accelerator Program. Megan graduated
summa cum laude with a BSBA in General Business and a Master of
Accountancy, both from the University of Denver.

She is a CPA in Colorado, South Carolina, Hawaii and Virginia, and completed her CMA certification while seven months pregnant in 2020. Megan is also a co-founder of a CPA military spouse networking group and the host of the ʺNext Level
Accountantʺ podcast.

As a volunteer, Megan lends her time to support
the initiatives of the Alliance to Cure Cavernous Malformation.

2011

Passed the CPA Exam and
graduated with a Master of Accounting from University of Denver.

2012

Left Big 4 public accounting and started on a path less traveled.

2016

Started a consulting firm specializing in technology innovation and technical content creation.

2020

Passed the CMA Exam.

2021

Selected to participate in the prestigious LinkedIn  Creator Accelerator.

Recipient of the 40 under 40 from CPA Practice Advisor for her contributions to the profession.

Today

AICPA Leadership Academy graduate and LinkedIn Top Voice who's on a mission to increase the accounting pipeline and integrate technology into accounting.
